A Return Visit to Beacon Hill Chocolates

When I first moved to Beacon Hill in 2004, it was love at first sight.  I've been living in this friendly neighborhood for almost seven years and I love to support the neighborhood businesses.  For instance, when Beacon Hill Chocolates arrived in the neighborhood, I was excited to visit this charming little shop filled with delightful truffles and unique keepsake boxes.  Five years later, the shop has moved and expanded, and I finally made a return visit to Beacon Hill Chocolates last week.

My friend Megan and I were both invited to Beacon Hill Chocolates' five-year anniversary party but we both had scheduling conflicts and couldn't make it.  We were delighted when Gina (the marketing maven and soon-to-be manager) invited us to come by to take a tour and learn more about the shop!

Beacon Hill Chocolates relocated to a larger space from its original location.  While they still offer their artisan truffles and keepsake boxes, Beacon Hill Chocolates also now sells an assortment of chocolate goodies from around the world.

Here are some photos of this delightful shop:

Gina also gave us a sample tasting of some of their delightful truffles, which included the salted caramel truffles that I fell in love with when Bret got me a mixed box of truffles from Beacon Hill Chocolates for Valentine's Day this past year.

By the time our visit came to an end, Megan and I couldn't decide what to get because everything looked so tempting!

I opted for a pint of the Girl Scout Cookie gelato but made a return visit a few days later to pick up truffles as part of Bret's birthday gift.  Beacon Hill Chocolates' location above my favorite nail salon is going to be seriously deadly, especially since they sell both gelato and hot chocolate!

Thanks to Gina for the tour and tasting of Beacon Hill Chocolates!  I wanted to share one last photo of an adorable sign in the shop:

Beacon Hill Chocolates is located at 91 Charles Street, Boston, MA.

Oooh, this place does sound dangerous. Truffles and gelato are two of my weaknesses!

I love this place, but haven't been in a couple years. Must return ASAP! It would be very, very dangerous for me to have this in my neighborhood :)
