Located right on the Freedom Trail, this is the perfect location for a cupcake shop. In fact, I fit right in with all of the tourists as I snapped photos outside the shop. I was stuffed from brunch but I really wanted to pick up a sweet treat for Bret.
I settled on the Boston Cream cupcake and this was definitely the right choice! Bret said that the cupcake was so moist and it really tasted like a slice of Boston cream pie...in cupcake form!
While I'm bummed that Sweet Cupcakes opened up after I stopped working right around the corner, I realize that this is probably a blessing in disguise!
Sweet Cupcakes has several locations in the Boston area and I visited the one located at 11 School Street, Boston, MA.

That cupcake does look really good!
This information is great to know ... and also dangerous. I don't need multiple cupcake shops right by me ... okay, maybe I do!
The new shop looks cute, but I'm most excited for when Cakeology opens up just down the street. That area will soon be brimming with cupcakes.
You are such a nice fiancee!
did that used to be a radioshack or something? near borders downtown? the building looks so familiar.
anyway, i wish i liked cupcakes. can you recommend a good place for brownies?
I will have to stop in next time I am downtown and not full from a huge brunch, to try them out!
Oh my goodness...that cupcake does look amazing!!
how nice of you :) i've run by there many of times, but never stopped for a cupcake break!
I'm still shocked that you didn't get one for yourself. I hope Bret shared. If Rafe were eating a cupcake in front of my i would NEED at least a bite. :)
Oh yum! Just the sounds of Boston Cream Cupcake makes me swoon =)
I really enjoy Sweet. There's one around the corner from my work also -- but I've pretty much just said going there during the week is prohibited!
I love cupcake shops! Thanks for sharing...and great pictures!
Mmmm I love Boston cream pie! That cupcake looks delicious.
