How Does Your Garden Grow?

I have been keeping very busy in Andover as I'm still settling into our new home.  In addition to my small collection of potted plants, I've recently started growing an indoor vegetable garden as well!

If you know me, you'll know that I don't really have a green thumb.  But when I recently won an indoor mushroom garden kit, I figured that this was a good a time as any to give indoor gardening a try!

I'm only in the first days of growing my oyster mushrooms.  Each kit can grow up to one and a half pounds of oyster mushrooms, so we'll see how I fare!

Do you do any indoor gardening?  Any tips for a newbie indoor gardener?

These mushroom kits look so great! I have a very un-green thumb also, so I'll be interested to see how this turns out. If it wasn't for my husband, our herb garden would be dead!

Have not tried indoor gardening yet, keep us updated on how it goes!
I did have to switch to container gardening outside because my husband came running over my plants with the lawnmower :/

I have a dying basil plant on my counter. No green thumb whatsoever. Good luck with your indoor garden!

I don't do any indoor gardening, but next year, hubby and I are digging up a good portion of the back yard to turn it into a garden. I'm super excited! I can't wait to see how your mushroom garden grows and what you make with them. Congrats!

I don't have a green thumb either. I tried to grow tomatoes on my windowsill once and nothing happened. Good luck with the shrooms!

I can't wait to see how your kit does. I have seen them on a couple of different blogs. For indoor gardening it can be tricky and I am not very good at it...so I have no tips...sorry.

I am terrible at keeping indoor plants alive, but I would love to one day have some veggies growing indoors - good luck!

From everything I've heard about where mushrooms come from I'd be a little skeptical about growing them indoors.

I'm more than happy to grow the "cleaner" veggies but for some reason I'm skeptical.

Let us all know how it turns out!

Good luck! A mushroom garden sounds fabulous! I kill everything I try to plant, but for some reason, my basil plant is really flourishing this year!! Love it :)

An indoor mushroom garden sounds like so much fun!! I TOTALLY don't have a green thumb. I've been known to kill cactuses ;-) Good luck!
