I've seen Cakology's presence on Twitter as a mobile cupcake truck, but I didn't realize that they had opened up an actual store. We picked up four of their mini-cupcakes to enjoy back at the hotel.
My choices were a vanilla cupcake with chocolate buttercream frosting and a chocolate cupcake also with chocolate buttercream frosting. Bret also had a vanilla cupcake with chocolate buttercream frosting and a red velvet cupcake.
The vanilla mini-cupcakes were a little dry but the chocolate and red velvet cakes were super moist. The buttercream frosting was absolutely perfect. I rarely like frosting but I could have had a spoonful of the chocolate buttercream! These mini cupcakes were the perfect little bite of sweetness for a small birthday treat.
In addition to its food truck, Cakeology is located at 45 Province Street, Boston, MA.

I've been there a couple times and I've had really good and really so-so cupcakes there.

I'm always on board with cupcakes. I tried them for the first time and met Victoria at the NE Dessert Showcase before she was on Cupcake Wars
so glad you enjoyed your birthday cupcakes! i wish i was a fan of cupcakes...as hard as i try and as delicious as they look, i just cant get into them!

Mm hmm those cupcakes look good! :-) I just tried Lulu's in the North End and those were delicious.
These are adorable! And I tend to not love frosting either, but I'm always floored when a place like this can make frosting so delicious. I'll have to try them out!

Those cupcakes are super cute and dangerous because you can't just have one bite.
